Code of Conduct
 
 
 
Our policy is to the right thing at all times. AppriaseAmerica.com,LLC is HCVV and USPAP compliant.  Our Code provides the standards of conduct expected of all officers, employees and contractors of AppraiseAmerica.com,LLC.
 
It is a violation of our policy to impose any form of inappropriate influence on any: director, employee, contractor or client representative in the conduct of our business or, who in good faith, reports any actual or suspected legal, ethical, or policy violation. 

AppraiseAmerica.com,LLC associates are expected to use good judgment and to avoid situations that can create an actual or potential conflict of interests.  Both actual and the appearance of a conflict of interest should be avoided. 
This policy does not attempt to describe all possible conflicts of interest that could develop.  Some of the more common conflicts from which you should refrain, however, include the following:

    1).    Accepting personal gifts or entertainment from competitors, customers, suppliers, or potential suppliers that could be perceived as improper or compromising.
    2).    Working for a competitor, supplier or client or  engaging in self-employment in competition with the Company; or Engaging in business in competition with the Company with a family member or “significant other”;    
    3)   Using proprietary, confidential and other company or client information for purposes other than intended;    
    4).    Having undesclosed direct or indirect financial interest in another company, or;  Acquiring any interest   in    property or assets of any kind for the purpose of selling or leasing it to the Company for personal benefit that would be detrimental to the Company or its shareholders;
     5).    Committing the Company to give its financial or other support to any unauthorized outside activity or organization; and
    6).   If you enter into a personal relationship with a client, subordinate, or with an employee of a competitor, supplier, or customer, a potential conflict of interest exists that requires full written disclosure to the Company.


Confidentiality
The business, informations and internal affairs of the Company and its clients must be kept confidential. 
Company property includes intellectual property, client lists, pricing, proprietary process information and confidential information.  Proprietary information includes all information obtained by you in the course of your work.  Confidential information is any Company information that is not generally known to the public or the industry.  Information about the Company’s plans, products, and systems is considered both proprietary, confidential and is among the Company’s most valuable assets.
Every associate is responsibility to protect our confidential and/or proprietary information from release or misuse.  You may not use or disclose any such information for personal gain, nor reveal it to anyone outside the Company at any time during or after your association with AppraiseAmerica.com unless required by law.  Any breach of security should be promptly reported to the EVP of Operations.


Compliance with Laws, Rules, Regulations & Standards
You are prohibited from taking any action either personally, or on behalf of the AppraiseAmerica.com,LLC, that will violate any law, regulation, professional standard or internal policy.

Reporting
If you become aware of any associate, employee, officer, contractor, client or other associate who may be in violation of this Code, please report it to the EVP of Operations. 
 
Waivers
Waivers or exceptions can be allowed in certain cases.  They must be disclosed prior to the EVP of Operations; Many issues are resolved through simple disclosure of the conflict to all interested parties. The Director of Operations is responsible for maintaining a record of all requests for waivers, exceptions and the disposition of these requests.
Disciplinary Action
Any violation of this Code, or any conduct that violates any law, rule, regulation, or ethical or professional standard, is subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment / association.
